PRF GROWTH FACTORS - plasma rich platelet

PRF is a fraction of blood rich with platelets and leukocytes, which are second-generation source of growth factors.

PRF is gained by centrifugation of patient blood in tubes without additives. PRF is clean and the final product which contains only fibrin of blood obtained from the patient.

Platelets stored in PRF are rich in growth factors. On activation of the growth factor they go out of the blood platelets (thrombocytes) and stimulate angiogenesis in the first place, ie. the formation of new blood vessels, as well as the growth of new bone in bone defects. As a result, the defect has better blood flow which improves regeneration. Growth factors also stimulates the growth of bone in the defect when it comes to, say, periodontal intervention, thus further contributing to a better effect of the therapy.

When is PRF used:

• Augmentation of crestal bone in the jaw ¬¬ (preparation for implant placement)
• Periodontal intervention (flap surgery)
• During the treatment of gingival recession (gum recession) - membrane made from PRF bare necks are covered and defect is eliminated.
• During a tooth extraction - PRF is inserted into the defect in order to minimize the loss of bone mass

PRF has safe method because the only part of the personal blood of the patient is back into the defect without any other addition.

PRF METHOD

PRF is abbreviation for the term "plateletrich fibrin", which means a platelet-enriched fibrin. These are products which are obtained from the patient's blood and are used primarily in dental cosmetic surgery.
In recent years in advanced dental procedures fibrin is used for better healing of bone and soft tissue, and serves as an ideal preparation for surgical procedures that precede dental implants.

What is it about?

Our body has the natural ability of self-healing.
By using of PRF method through the attraction of stem cells from the body regenerate new tissue is regenerated. The process begins by taking the patient's blood, which by further processing through coagulation by centrifugation in a dedicated right, separates. The whole process is really fast (12 minutes), painless and easy.

By separating the blood from the red blood cells we obtain plasma and fibrin, which are later used as a biological autotransplatant ie. after tooth extraction, to the same location we set fibrin and plasma which serve to accelerate the healing process, and to accelerate the process of accepting implant, thus the process itself is faster and safer, and above all, painless.
